How to measure your wrist: wrap a soft tape measure (or a strip of paper) around your wrist just above the wrist bone, then measure it against a ruler. Sizes are approximate and can vary slightly by design. Check each product page for details.

Adjusting your band

  • Leather straps: pick the hole that lets one finger slide under the strap.
  • Mesh bands: lift the clasp, slide it to the length you want, and press it down until it clicks.
  • Link bracelets: links can be removed with a small pin-push tool, or by any local jeweler or watch shop in a few minutes.

Caring for your watch

  • Wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Keep it away from strong magnets, perfume and harsh cleaning products.
  • Keep leather straps dry. Water and sweat wear them out faster.
  • Store it in its gift box when you're not wearing it.

Automatic watches

Automatic watches (like the Meridian Automatic) have no battery. They wind themselves from the movement of your wrist.

  • If it stops after a day or two off your wrist, that's normal. Give the crown 20–30 gentle turns forward, then set the time.
  • Wearing it daily keeps it running.
  • Automatics can gain or lose a few seconds a day. That's normal for a mechanical movement.

Quartz watches

Quartz watches (check the product page for each design's movement) run on a small battery that typically lasts 1–3 years. Any watch shop can replace it.
